About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HCL Commerce Developer with strong expertise in Java/J2EE to design, develop, and support enterprise eCommerce solutions. The role focuses on HCL Commerce development across catalog, search, pricing, promotions, order management, and member/user management.

Job Description

The role involves developing and enhancing commerce applications using HCL Commerce / IBM WebSphere Commerce versions 7, 8, and 9. You will work on core commerce capabilities, integrations, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and scalable application development.

The position requires hands-on experience with Java/J2EE technologies, REST APIs, databases, source control, and Agile/Scrum delivery practices. You will also contribute to integrations and modern commerce architectures where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain HCL Commerce solutions across enterprise eCommerce platforms.
  • Work on catalog management, search/navigation, pricing, promotions, and order management.
  • Develop and support member and user management functionality.
  • Build applications using Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and Spring Framework.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs and external commerce services.
  • Work with SQL and database structures to support commerce applications.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and perform debugging and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with development teams using Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience with Bass Pro Shops or large retail commerce implementations

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HCL Commerce and Java/J2EE, with expertise across core commerce capabilities and enterprise integrations. The candidate should have strong debugging and performance-tuning skills and be comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
