About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist - Software Engineering with strong expertise in HCL Commerce and Java/J2EE development. The role focuses on building and supporting enterprise commerce solutions across catalog, search, pricing, promotions, order management, and user management, with a strong emphasis on performance and integration.

Job Description

The role involves developing and maintaining commerce applications using HCL Commerce / IBM WebSphere Commerce versions 7, 8, and 9, with hands-on experience across key commerce capabilities. The candidate will work with Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Spring, REST APIs, SQL, and database design.

The position requires strong debugging and performance-tuning capabilities, along with experience working with source control and Agile/Scrum delivery practices. The candidate may also contribute to integrations with search, order management, payment, and tax platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain enterprise commerce solutions using HCL Commerce.
  • Work across Catalog Management, Search & Navigation, Pricing & Promotions, Order Management, and Member/User Management.
  • Develop and enhance applications using Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Spring, and REST APIs.
  • Design and work with SQL databases and related data models.
  • Integrate commerce platforms with external systems and enterprise services.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and perform debugging and performance tuning.
  • Use Git and follow Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Support large-scale commerce implementations and technical integration activities.

The ideal candidate should have 7–11 years of experience with HCL Commerce / IBM WebSphere Commerce and strong Java/J2EE development expertise.
